Project Title : Intranet Solution

Challenge

To provide an infrastructure from the ground up which would provide a common platform for the all the departments and all employees to share and access information. There was also a need to administer and maintain the content on the site to prevent unwanted content buildup. Also the content needed to be segregated so that an user in one department should not be bombarded with information from some other department which may be of no use to the person. Most importantly the site had to be made user friendly so that an employee with no previous knowledge of computers should be able to use it effectively. The application should also be integrated into the global Volvo sites.
Solution

The solution provided was a web based intranet which is totally dynamic. All departments have their own home page on the site which is maintained by an administrator within the department.
